I tried to keep up with the heavy rotation playlists last year and failed miserably, but I’m committed to keeping it going this year.

I can’t remember how my love for this song came to be, just that it came to my attention in November last year and I’ve loved it ever since.
Everything Has Changed // Taylor Swift ft. Ed Sheeran
I genuinely don’t know why this song filled my ears all January since it’s been out for years, but I know it’s got something to do with the fact that I’m writing a young adult novel right now and sometimes I think of songs for each chapter that would go with the overall theme/vibe.
Chained // Elle King ft. Cameron Neal
This song was also on repeat for the same reason as the above. Although, every few months I take a strong liking to this song and it finds its way back into my rotation.
FOREVER // Jessie Reyez ft. 6LACK
This song is even better live…trust me.
LOVE AGAIN // Daniel Caesar ft. Brandy
If you follow me on TikTok or Instagram, you’d know the song I used in my recap for January was this one. Even though the month was ass, this song launched itself back into my life (literally when I was in the shower) and found its way onto my rotation.
Ally // McDermott & North
I will explain later on in this post why I genuinely love this band and how they came to be in my life (because another one of their songs was my most repeated), but Ally is such a cute little tune that makes me want spring and summer to come around a lot sooner.
I Am So In Love With You // Ball Park Music
I feel like I’ve been listening to this song for many years now, but I also feel like there’s a running theme in this playlist LOOOL
Flowers // Miley Cyrus
Okay, THIS song is catchy and had a phenomenal music release. There are so many unconfirmed rumours milling about, about this song but it’s flawless regardless of who it’s about.
Psycho // Anne-Marie ft. Aitch
People need to stop sleeping on Anne-Marie, she continuously delivers bops on top of bops. Though I love the studio version of this song, the live lounge performance that her and Aitch did was literally the best.
Everytime (I’m a Little Bit Like You) // McDermott & North
I could literally listen to this song every day for the rest of my life and still be the happiest human ever.
This song easily summed up my January. McDermott & North came to my attention one night when I was watching Sisi Stringer’s Instagram Live and she played this song while she was getting ready for a night out. Safe to say, I fell in love with their sound and immediately listened to every song they’d put out.
And I’d easily deem this song to be one of my favourite songs now.
