el’s yearly traditions

In honour of Friday the 13th – one of my favourite days of the year – here is a list of what I like to call my “yearly traditions.” These are all the weird and unexplainable things that I do on a yearly basis (and have no idea how they even came to be), but have since become tradition.

*The ones I’ll get the most excited about.

  1. *Watching all currently released MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) movies in order from start to finish once a month.
  2. Watching all eight Harry Potter movies once every other month (usually spread out over a week, but if I’ve got a day or two off? Why tf not).
  3. *Watching To All The Boys 1 & 2 once (or twice) a month.
  4. *Watching all nine seasons of One Tree Hill every summer.
  5. *October Horror Movie Fest – one horror movie a night for 31 nights. A tradition within this tradition: Saw 1-8 will always be the first eight movies, Halloween (1978) and its 2018 remake will always be the pre-Halloween movies (Oct. 29 & 30), and The Nightmare Before Christmas will always be the last movie (the only movie watched on Halloween). Want a list of all the movies I watched this year? View them HERE.
  6. Watching Friday the 13th (1980) every Friday the 13th.
  7. Watching Before I Fall every February 12th (for further context: Cupid Day in the movie is February 12 and that’s the day that Samantha Kingston keeps reliving)
