october horror movie fest 2020

So in 2016, I thought it’d be a really cool idea to watch one horror movie every night in October just for the hell of it. I’ve always been a huge horror fan and Halloween happens to be one of my favourite days of the year. Pair that with Fall, which is now tied with Summer for my favourite season, and it sounds about fitting.

So that year, I set out and curated a list of horror movies to watch from Oct. 1st through to the 31st. It wasn’t anything serious at the time. I never posted it to any of my socials, since it was the first year that I was doing it and it was only just for me.

(and don’t get me wrong, it still is)

By the end of October, I was pretty much obsessed with the idea and ended up doing it again in 2017 (when I officially named it October Horror Movie Fest). This turned into curating a new list in 2018, another in 2019 and you guessed it, a brand new one for 2020.

I have a lot of traditions that didn’t originally start out as one, but this one is my absolute favourite. This will be the fifth October Horror Movie Fest (and I think the second one I’ve publicly shared on my socials), and so I’m happy to be sharing this year’s list of films on Unfiltered.
